Bengaluru's government has proposed a network of elevated corridors and tunnel roads to tackle traffic. But do flyovers solve the problem, or just move it? What do they mean for emissions, trees, public space and the people who live and work along these roads?
The Elevated Corridor Design Jam is a month-long challenge, organised by OpenCity (Oorvani Foundation), inviting citizens to evaluate one of the proposed corridors and design a better alternative. That could mean a different mode of transport, a different route, or the same corridor with smart changes.
